that lucid plane

Maybe it was just a dream

But the lucidity tells me it was an actual memory

Where dreams are confusing

and play on insecurities

Everything was clear

The safest place I've ever been

In every single way this was exactly

where I was supposed to be

Exactly here in the universe

Exactly here in time

A whole lifetime encapsulated in one night's sleep

And, listen, we had our problems, too

But it was also so pure

And it was just as if it was

the only lifetime I'd known

A lone plane

I woke up and couldn't shake it

And when I went to lunch

waiting on my order

scrolling my phone

You tapped me on the shoulder

Smiled

and said hello
