Hello dear family, friends, and snoopers,
Just an update because WE'VE GOT OUR HOME STUDY SCHEDULED for Saturday! This is very exciting, partly because while we were expecting it soon we were not expecting it this soon. Saturday is SOON. Yikes! Also, it's exciting because this is the last big step for us is getting licensed as a foster/adoptive home. It's been a long road and we are ready to get to the other side. We are excited to see what God has for us after this, as in, what child(ren) God will allow us to welcome into our home. Something that's been on our hearts for so long, yet has kind of had to take a backseat to all the logistics.
Please pray for us if you think about it.
Another random happening is that the program director of our agency was at our church on Sunday. She said she has been looking for a church since January. This is a woman who Dru and I have really connected with and we really see her heart for the Lord and for the orphan. I would just love to see how God might use her in connection with our church to do more for children in the foster system. My parents have just begun to head up an orphan care ministry at our church and there are so many hearts stirred right now to get moving for the orphan. It's awesome. I love seeing that God is working in us.
