violet on adoption :)

We've had little conversations here and there with Violet about adoption. Today I told her again that mommy and daddy love kids and we want to have more kids and that she may have brothers and sisters that mommy doesn't carry in her tummy but that God would give to us through adoption.

She was smiling and nodding and I was pleased that she seemed to be finally grasping this unfamiliar concept.

Then, without warning, the smile left.

She raised her eyebrows, gave a sunken look and asked, with deep concern:

"Are you going to adopt me??....or Augie?"
