Recognize these people? Just got back in town from traveling over the last few days (will post more about that later ;)). Sitting at my gate with Violet in the Minneapolis airport these two arrived at the gate and were having a casual conversation right in front of me!! Had to be the annoying fan and ask for a picture!! Nate Burkus held V!!! Too cute.

haha, i would have been afraid that my child would happen to have a blow out right at this moment. cool though erin! you'll have to get violet hooked right into Oprah and Extreme home makeover so she knows who they are and can tell this story when she's older ;)

Here's the play by play: I'm sitting at the gate. Ty and Nate walk up and are having a casual conversation to themselves. My mom (who was traveling with me) comes back from the ticket counter where she was trying to get us better seats. I say, "Mom, there's Nate Burkus and Ty Whats-His-Face from that show. Should I go ask for a picture??" "Yes! Go!". So I go over and say, "Excuse me, but can I just get a picture?" Ty says, "Only if we can take your baby". Haha. But then Nate takes her. I say, "Look over there at my mom (with camera) and SMILE!". I think that was pretty much it. They were both very nice and it made being delayed at the airport oh so worth it. They weren't on our flight but on a flight leaving a bit before ours out to CA.

I happened to read in the newspaper earlier that morning that the Extreme Home Makeover crew had been in town all week making over a house for next season of the show. Not sure why Nate was there with Ty though...maybe he helped out with this one?

Judith, I definitely would have invited them for dinner if we had been in Dallas, and Mindy, I most definitely would not have asked them to remodel my house as my hunk hubby already does all that stuff just fine...(see future post on finished built-in bookcase !! :))

So jealous!!!! And you are so much braver than I...of course with one of my babies in my arms, I might have done it too!

Sounds just like your mom to say, "yes, go!" She's always there to give you a little push when you need it! (Love you Diane;))

Amy, yes, I must say they appear in real life just as they do on television. Personally, I've never thought Ty to be super cute...but Nate...well, yes, just like television :).

Wow two of my favs... I think they are both cutie patooties. How fun that you got the shots. I would have been too shy. Of course with my kids Seth would have been the one to walk up and ask....and YES Seth would recognize them he loves to watch Oprah and Extreme Makeover with me. HEE HEE.
